A Milwaukee man may face multiple charges after being arrested for shooting 25 rounds from a gun on Sunday night in a Menomonee Falls FedEx distribution center, according to the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

The suspect, a 27-year-old, was an employee at the FedEx center on County Line Road.

Other than a minor injury to the suspect during his arrest, officials say no other injuries resulted during this incident and no ongoing threat exists to the public. The building was not occupied during the time of the shooting, according to the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

FedEx released the following statement Monday to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: "We are aware of the incident in our Menomonee Falls, WI. facility last night and are grateful for the quick action by our security team and local law enforcement who apprehended the suspect. Safety of our team members is our highest priority, and we are thankful there are no injuries. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement’s investigation and any further questions should be directed to the investigating authorities."

According to the Menomonee Falls Police Department:

On Sunday, at 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man who had entered the FedEx distribution center, located at N96W14849 County Line Road, with a handgun.

Upon arrival, officers heard a single gunshot from inside the building. When officers approached the facility, the man exited the building from the side door with the gun in his hand.

The man initially obeyed orders from police to drop his weapon, however he resisted an officer's attempts to take him into custody. He was eventually subdued by officers and was then taken to a local hospital.

He was later medically cleared and was then transported and booked into the Waukesha County Jail based on multiple felony and misdemeanor charge recommendations.

An investigation later revealed he discharged 25 rounds from his weapon inside the building. The man's gun was the only item recovered as evidence.
